El Segundo Mayor Drew Boyles Appointed to LA County Beach Commission

El Segundo Mayor Drew Boyles is the latest member of the L.A. County Beach Commission, a panel that reviews the policies, capital projects and contracts for the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors.

County Supervisor Janice Hahn appointed Boyles to the post on Tuesday, Jan. 21, replacing former Hermosa Beach Mayor Jeff Duclos. Boyles will complete Duclos’ term, according to a press release.

“Mayor Boyles has been a leader in the beach community of El Segundo for years and he knows what it takes to be an advocate for beach communities and beach-goers,” Hahn said in a statement. “I know he is going to be an asset to the Beach Commission and I appreciate his willingness to serve our county residents and the millions of people who visit our beaches each year.”
